Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV)

The Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) 2021-2027 funding programme of the European Commission is a scheme aimed at supporting activities that promote and safeguard the EU's values of democracy, equality, the rule of law, and respect for human rights. The programme has a budget of €1.55 billion and provides funding for various types of projects, such as promoting EU citizenship, combating discrimination and hate speech, and supporting independent media and freedom of expression. It is open to eligible organizations from the participating countries in the European Union, and the application process involves submitting project proposals that are evaluated based on their relevance to the programme's objectives, feasibility, and potential impact. The programme aims to reinforce European values and strengthen the democratic culture and civic engagement of European citizens.
