Erasmus +:KA1 - Youth Exchange - Programme Countries

Place:United Kingdom, London

Dates:01/10/2016 - 08/10/2016

Project Description:

The labour market has become very competitive and we are seeing youth unemployment in many countries exceeding 40%.  Employment doors are constantly closing for our youth.  Our training course will look at the labour market problems and help youth find ways to explore new avenues of employment and to know exactly where they should be looking for employment.  We will explore a variety of competences and methods to increase these competences in order to increase the employability of youth.

The training course is designed for youth workers and staff working in the field of youth in order to give them the needed tools to help young people find employment more easily.  The participants will exchange good and bad practices from their countries and we will explore all the opportunities available for youth in the EU to help them maximise their skills and increase their employability.

The main issues covered during this training course are youth unemployment and the development of skills for youth to increase their employability.  During the TC we will develop methodologies to be used in each community to assist youth in employment and also to share knowledge of different opportunities available to youth on a national and European level to help increase and expand their skills and their employability in all markets.

Food, Accomodation is covered 100%. Travel Costs up to budget according to Erasmus + programme.

I improved my entrepreneurship skills during simulation activities and workshops (simulating how life in a community works and what a business person means to be, creating one object/service with materials from all participant countries; creating one magazine dedicated to youth). During these activities, I had to come up with innovative and creative ideas that finally were turned into actions. I was able to plan and manage on time our tasks in order to have a good output with our magazine and video. I learned how to take initiative in different working groups and I improved my creativity skills throughout the entire project.
